happy 6th anniversary!

Derek and I have been married for 6 years! 

What an incredible journey our life together has been. 

Loads of laughs.

Fun adventures.

Buckets of tears.  

So much growth; for us personally and as a couple. 

Two super cute kids.

And through everything, grace. 

Joy.

Mercy. 

Love. 

Forgiveness.

Redemption.

God's goodness and faithfulness to us.

I am thankful for these last 6 years.  I look forward this next year, and several more after!

rainy days

It's nice and quiet this morning.  The hubby's getting ready for work and both boys are still sleeping.  I love rainy mornings!

Some things I'm looking forward to today:
*bible study later this morning
*puddle jumping with jaden =)
*cuddling with Eli....he's kind of been stuffy, so he wants to cuddle more right now (which is fine by me!)
*trying a new recipe for dinner...should be interesting.  my sister's coming into town tonight and she's going to have dinner with us!
*drinking my cup of tea in peace

Elijah is getting big enough now to sit in his bath chair =)  That makes bath time way easier!

It's quiet in my house this afternoon.  I'm trying to soak up the stillness while I can, because these moments don't come often.
Eli fell asleep in his swing.
Jaden's outside playing with a friend.
Laundry's been washed, folded and put away.
Chocolate chip cookies are baking in the oven....and the smell is absolutely delicious!  =)

In other news.....Jaden can ride a bike with no training wheels!  Wahoo!

I love this picture.  Jaden is growing up so incredibly fast.  Every day, I start to see just a little bit more big kid, and a little bit less "baby".  There are little sparks in his eyes, just little flashes of an older boy...and then they go back to the "little kid".
It's bittersweet, I think, watching your kids grow.
Fun, but kinda sad.
Exciting, but scary at the same time.

I pray that I can cherish these times, because I know they don't last forever.
