a day with nothing to do

We have nothing to do today!  I don't even have to clean, yay! =) 
Just some random thoughts....
We recently check out a book at the library called "The Flyaway Kite" by Steve Bjorkman.

I love this book!  It's about this little boy who has made a red kite.  The kite decides that it doesn't want to be attached to it's string and flies away.  The kite finds out it is no fun to be just randomly blowing and crashing about, and the kite ends up tattered and torn.  The boy lovingly chases it wherever it goes, and rescues it.  The boy fixes the kite up and makes it new.  At the end, the boy tells the kite "I made you to fly high and free, my little kite, and as long as you stay connected to me, you always will."  This book just totally floored me.  This is what the Lord does for us!  He loves us enough to follow us wherever we go, and fixes us in our torn and tattered state.  He reminds us that we can do all things, as long as we are grounded in Him.

We lost buddy bear today too.

 But, after an earnest search, found him buried underneath the fort that Jaden built on his bed for all his animal friends.

It's a beautiful day outside.  Can't wait to enjoy the sunshine =)
