We had some elderly visitors come and chat with us today. When they were leaving Jaden noticed the elderly lady had a walker and walked with a limp. He asked her what was wrong and she replied that she has a bad leg. As they were getting into their car, Jaden called out "I hope your leg feels better!"
That was so sweet! I was reminded (again!) that even though Jaden's four, he is learning and growing. He's learning about forgiveness and how to forgive. He's learning what is right and wrong. He can understand what it means to be kind and how to extend it. It shows me that God is working in his little heart. And that, in the end, it doesn't matter if Derek and I "got it right" parenting because God's got it covered. Jaden belongs to the Lord.
