goober

at this time of day, I'm usually ready for my husband to walk in the door and take over "kid duties".  So, to take up time (or waste time), I usually call family.  Today we called grandma and grandpa.  Jaden's been talking about goober, our fictional female cat.  Listening to jaden talk reminds me that he is so much more than an annoying chatter box!  Jaden is bright, and funny, and creative.  He is imaginative, and sometimes a little too curious for his own good.  I am suddenly hit with a gentle reminder that little ones grow fast, and I need to savor the sweet time I have with my little one while I still have it.
