Jaden and I love taking walks together. It's almost because second nature to us - we eat lunch and then throw on shoes and coats and head out the door. As we walk, Jaden likes to hold my hand. Sometimes he wants to walk beside me, sometimes he likes to run.
Today we walked past a mailbox that was covered in little hearts. "Hey look! That's hearts!" Yep, I answered. "What do hearts mean?" Jaden said, "They mean love!" I then asked him, "What is love Jadebear?" He said, "God is love, mommy. And God loves me".
How simple that truth is!
"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him" ~1 John 4:16
"We love Him because He first loved us" ~1 John 4:19
God is love. And He loves us, so that we can love Him.
