A Planting of the Lord

"...that they may be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, for a display of His glory" ~Isaiah 61:3

I love the book of Isaiah because it is full of vivid imagery.  I learn best through stories and pictures, and so the pictures that Isaiah creates are awesome and beautiful, and they make God's word come alive to me.  This verse has been on my heart because being "a planting of the Lord" speaks volumes to me.  The bible has a lot to say about being planted by the Lord, and what that means.  Psalms 1:3 says "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper".  Psalm 92:12 says "the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon".  These verses are saying God has plants us like trees.  He plants us near water, so that our roots can seek water and grow strong.  God promises that we will bear fruit for His purposes, and we will flourish!  We will prosper!  As long as we are seeking God, and thirsting for His word, we will not wither!  The Lord has promised we will do all these things through Him, and for His glory.  I love that!  The Lord is going to use my life to display His awesome glory!

I believe that the Lord has planted my family here, and He will prosper us and use us for His glory!  This blog is my attempt to show the bits and pieces of everyday life in the Coller family "world".  My hope is that God will use it for His glory.
