snow day

Winter has finally come to Roanoke!  Today, big, fat, white flakes are pouring down.  It's beautiful!  It might only last today, and it will probably melt throughout the rest of the week, but I can officially say we had winter!  My house has all the signs of it too: the outside is covered in white, the cars are piled high with snow drifts, our snowmen are leaning precariously to one side on our lawn.  The inside is warm and toasty.  The crock pot is on filling the house with yummy smells.  We played board games and drank warm hot chocolate.  Yes, it is winter indeed!
