Oy. Today has been one of those days, and even though it's halfway over, I don't feel like it is! Just this past hour, Jaden's been to time-out twice. I am ready to pull my hair out! In my frustration, I've been ranting, "Lord, I cannot do this anymore! I need a break!" In my huffing and puffing, I heard:
"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness" ~2 Corinthians 12:9
Deep, deep breath. "My grace is sufficient for you". I'm glad the Lord doesn't say, "You WILL do this" or "You can do this by your own strength" or "Man, you screwed up again!". But He says "My grace is sufficient." His grace will get me through the moments I want to pull my hair out. His grace reminds me to extend the same to Jaden in the teachable moments of our daily stuff. His grace says "I love you, and you can get through today's trouble because I am with you".
Another deep breath. I will make that my mantra for the rest of the day. I will remember and tell myself over and over that His grace is sufficient for me, and that His strength is made perfect through my weakness.
I read this post yesterday after your difficult Monday was over, but I'm so happy and proud of you for turning your face to the Lord during your frustrations. I love that Corinthians verse! I'm a big believer in Godly mantras too! hehehe :) Oh, and thank you for reading my verbose blogs and for your encouraging comments on my posts too! Love you!
